On Thursday 13th June Mrs Martin hosted our Annual Art Gallery for parents to be able to join their children in the school hall to celebrate the children’s wonderful works of art. On display this year were the pieces of art prepared for the Parish in Bloom competition and fish weaved by our Year 2 cohort.
It was also a very special occasion for James who created the winning design for our school Gorilla. The design represents both our school colours and location. Everybody had the opportunity to identify a possible name for the gorilla. We had options ranging from Bob; to Gary through to Gloria however the name selected is “Vaux.”
We also unveiled our new school mural painted by local artist Lauren. It was officially unveiled by Art House Jersey and the design itself is a culmination of ideas of children across our school.
I am sure that you will all agree that it was a wonderful celebration of some outstanding pieces of art work.
