This afternoon two year 6 pupils attended the launch of the plan for Jersey’s children and young people. This event was hosted by Children’s Minister, Senator Sam Mézec and was attended by Senior Government of Jersey officials, island schools and the media.
Our area of focus when supporting the development of this plan has been ‘learning and achieving’. The year 6 used this as an opportunity to talk to our youngest children about what learning they enjoyed, we wanted their voice to be considered in the plan. The year 6 did us proud today, they made sure everyone at the launch knew what our learning looks like and what learning we enjoy.
Following the presentation to a packed hall, the year 6 were asked to do an interview, this will be aired tonight on Channel ITV at 6pm.
I must take this opportunity to say that the year 6 did an amazing job. I am sure you will agree once you see the interview. They represented our school fantastically well.
