On Thursday 7th March we hosted our fourth “sharing a reading experience” session for year 6 and Nursery in the school library areas. Now all classes have had the opportunity for their parent or guardian to come into school to read with them and give them the chance to see our two new wonderful libraries. For the new libraries to be successful the resource must be used, the books need to be accessed and we recognised the need to see children sharing the experience with family members. We strongly believe that reading for pleasure and aloud benefits children. It helps them develop stronger social skills, vocabulary and writing skills.
This last session was equally as successful as the previous three; the children loved it. Thank you to all parents that attended.
