On Thursday 14th February we hosted our third “sharing a reading experience” session for year 5 and Reception in the school library areas. For the new libraries to be successful the resource must be used, the books need to be accessed and we recognised the need to see children sharing the experience with family members. We strongly believe that reading for pleasure and aloud benefits children. It helps them develop stronger social skills, vocabulary and writing skills.
The third session was equally as successful as the previous two; the children loved it. Thank you to all parents that attended and please come along again to your child’s next session.
