At Grands Vaux we love the festive period and this is mainly down to the magical work of our PTA. This is particularly evident in their creation of the Winter Wonderland that is the Christmas Grotto. On the day of the Christmas Fayre children had the opportunity to visit Santa, receive a gift and decide whether they are deserving of a Christmas visit. In the week after the event, the grotto remains and our teachers use the space to read stories to the children and use the setting to inspire the children to write from their first-hand experiences. It was so well received even the Education Literacy Lead, Mrs Caroline Whitehead, paid a visit and was sufficiently impressed by the surrounding. Great thanks must go to the PTA for their many long hours of hard work that went into the construction of the grotto.
