Last week Year 5 spent much of their week in replica World War I Trenches. They used this sensory experience as a stimulus to promote empathy within their writing. Experiencing life in the trenches allowed them to consider what the soldiers would have seen, would have felt and would have heard in the fields. The experience was so impressive that we invited a photographer into school from the Jersey Evening Post to take some photos. So look out for more pictures appearing in the JEP this week!
